- Welcome! My name is Valerie Liu and my blog is mostly about "food" since both my husband, Bob and I are "foodies". Before meeting my husband I lived in NYC. I would read the weekly restaurant reviews and visit a different restaurant each week - my rule was to never try a same restaurant twice. My real job was in advertising and Bob was a reporter at CNN. Since then,we have moved to Ridgefield, CT and have three beautiful daughters, Mia and twins Ella & Emmy. We enjoy to entertain our friends and share our passion for "food". I now work in the food business - I handle the marketing for #1 Specialty Cheese - JarlsbergCheese including several Specialty Cheeses partners for the U.S. market. We also enjoy our lives as parents and being homeowners. My husband is Chinese and we celebrate the "Moon Festival" Holiday(中秋節). A popular holiday for the celebration of abundance and togetherness. I'm Puerto Rican and I love rice and beans, hence the name "moon-beans". I hope you enjoy my blog about my world, food and everything that I'm passionate about or that is just cool beans!
